The Kikinahk Friendship Centre has a quilting club that meets each Wednesday. It's a group of local women
that well: make quilts.. Kikinahk supplies the materials, and even some of the machines.
 
Well anyway, one of the local Doctors last year was from Slovakia and his mom came from Slovakia to
visit him here in La Ronge for a few months. She ended up joining the club for that time, and
took lots of pictures and apparently learned how to make quilts.
 
When she got back home she started up these quilting clubs in her community in Slovakia

The big picture was the one she took here in Kikinahk with our regular women here,
along with some of their quilts. The ladies name is Otilia and her picture is in the bottom right.

Its surprising where in the world our Friendship Centre provides some influence!
