Technology
The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan are dedicated to supporting the integration of technology into all aspects of service delivery and learning. We do that by providing our programs, staff, members, and communities with support for:
- free technology for teaching;
- robust technology and training resources for learning;
- comprehensive and reliable web publishing, computer software, and network services.
We take our commitment to service seriously and strive to achieve quality in all of our activities.
The AFCS Project Database is a Groupware Database, or Collaborative software.
It is designed to help people involved in a common task achieve their goals. Collaborative software is the basis for computer supported cooperative work.Such software systems as email, calendaring, text chat, wiki belong in this category. It has been suggested that Metcalfe’s law — the more people who use something, the more valuable it becomes — applies to such software.
